Regarding DataSource

We have ideas related to DePIN apps(yet to be launched, we have mvp ready) to get data about specific things and consider that as the data source.
Would this work or the hackathon needs the data source to be pre-existing?

    This would work - the data source doesn't have to be pre-existing.
